On May 3, 2025, the Rush community gathered at the Credit Union 1 Arena to recognize the graduating class of 2025 at Rush University's 53rd Commencement. Congratulations, graduates!
Experience all the joy of the commencement event:
“I am full of hope today, and I urge all of you to be hopeful too. As graduates of Rush University, you have an especially vital role to play. Because you are healers. And you will be called upon to help mend that which is being broken – broken bodies, broken communities, a broken society."
Eugene Robinson, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and MSNBC contributor, addressed the crowd and provided words of inspiration for nearly 800 graduates from a variety of health care professions. The commencement ceremony also featured a University Marshal, Student Commencement Speaker, and Commencement Address.
Congratulations, Class of 2025 – and don’t miss our resources for making the most of your life after graduation as a member of the Rush University alumni community.
“To me it is so important that we take the time to ensure patients really understand their health and how it relates to their own experience."
“Students care deeply, regardless of college or discipline, about health care, and I am personally inspired by their activism."
