Commencement Information for Students

Rush University’s 48th Commencement

As a part of social distancing measures in order to contain novel coronavirus, Rush University will be hosting a virtual commencement for the class of 2020.

Virtual commencement will be presented as an online flipbook, complete with video messages from President Gabriel, our guest speaker, our first ever commencement student speaker, and more.

Each student also has the opportunity to have a personalized microsite, where information including their photo, college and program, awards, student activities, legacy and dissertation information as applicable, and a message of thanks will be displayed.

We look forward to sharing the final product with graduates, their friends and family, faculty, and the whole community on April 30th, 2020.

All students, regardless of participation in virtual commencement, will receive regalia and a diploma cover via mail. We’ve arranged with our partner vendors for these materials to be created and distributed once the Illinois Stay at Home order has been lifted and will be sent to the address you provided to receive your diploma.
