Vital Investments to Advance Life Expectancy (V.I.T.A.L.) is a community-based research study designed to track the health of Chicagoans over time.
Our goal is to study the health of Chicagoans over a five-year period, and we need your help!
If you are 30 years old or over, speak English, and live within certain neighborhoods of West Garfield Park or Englewood, you are eligible to be a part of the study!
To start the process, please choose your community below.
If you live south of Chicago Ave (800 N.) and north of Harrison St (700 S. or west of Sacramento Blvd (3000 W.) and east of Laramie Ave (5200 W.), click the button below.
If you live west of State St (0 E/W) and east of Western Ave (2400 W.) or north of Garfield Blvd (5500 S) & south of 75th St (7500), click the button below.

VITAL stands for Vital Investments to Advance Life Expectancy. This project aims to collect health information from community members over the course of 5 years to track how the health of our community evolves over time in response to the changing landscape of the city. Eligible participants must be 30 years or older, live in specific neighborhoods of West Garfield Park or Englewood, and speak English.
