Sean Wrenn, MD is an endocrine surgeon at Rush University Medical Center. He dedicates himself to surgical care for patients with thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and other neuroendocrine disorders. He completed medical school (MD) at Rush Medical College of Rush University. From there, he completed a residency in surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center, which included a year of dedicated surgical and translational science research. He received sub-specialty training in comprehensive endocrine surgery at the Harvard program located at both Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Wrenn has extensive research and clinical experience in both general surgery, endocrine surgery, and basic science. He has presented his research at regional, national, and international conferences and has won several research awards for this work. He is also an active member in multiple national organizations dedicated to research and patient care including the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES), American College of Surgeons (ACS), Association of Academic Surgeons (AAS), and American Thyroid Association (ATA).
