The goal of Lubelchek’s research and overall professional aim is to improve the access and quality of care for people living with HIV. Much of his past research efforts have focused on improving implementation of HIV testing programs in our urban, safety-net medical system. In addition he has researched ways that health information technology can improve HIV care. He has also led an effort to use baseline HIV genotypes to assess for HIV transmission clusters from a database of over 900 baseline genotypes. Lastly, he has served as a local principal investigator on several pharmaceutical company HIV anti-retroviral clinical trials.
