Rebecca Lahey, LCSW is the manager of mental health in the Department of Social Work and Community Health and the manager of operations for Rush Wellness at Rush University System for Health. She is also an instructor for the Social Work Department in the College of Health Sciences at Rush University.
Lahey manages a team of over twenty clinicians and support staff who serve Rush community members, employees and students through their integrated mental health practices and leverages her training as a psychotherapist with expertise in trauma, depression and anxiety, adjustment to major life transitions, and interpersonal or relationship difficulties as both a clinician and leader. She is the Chair of the Mental Health and Aging Network Leadership Council with the American Society on Aging and is active with many national and statewide coalitions focused on mental health and trauma-informed practices
Lahey received her MSW from Loyola University Chicago, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with her BSW and a BA in Spanish. She has spent her ten-plus years at Rush engaging with and growing many care management, community engagement, and mental health initiatives, with a strong commitment to improving access to needed services for marginalized populations.
