Michael J. Liptay, MD, is the leader of University Thoracic Surgeons, the busiest minimally invasive thoracic surgery group in the metropolitan Chicago area. In addition, he is a professor of surgery and chairman of the department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Rush. He heads a group of excellent physicians, and under his leadership the team strives to work with local physicians and caregivers to provide a seamless continuity across the spectrum of care.
