Ovarian cancer: molecular pathogenesis, tumor microenvironment, immune cell/cancer communication, drug targets for metastasis, drug repurposing; drug discovery from marine sources
Michael Bradaric, PhD, has always been interested in science and the natural world. Bradaric attended Lewis University in Romeoville and obtained a BS in biology. He also worked as a pharmacy technician and was exposed to pharmaceutics early in his career, before attending RUSH University for a PhD in pharmacology. His research in ovarian cancer led me to multidisciplinary fields, such as tumor immunology and molecular pathology. After completing a fellowship in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Chicago, Bradaric started teaching pharmacology. His previous position was at Chicago State’s College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutic Sciences. Bradaric is proud to have moved back to his alma mater, RUSH University, as Director of Pharmacology for the RUSH Medical College. His multidisciplinary background has greatly contributed to his success as a teacher in an integrated pharmacology course. He looks forward to working with other faculty and medical students, as well as continuing collaborative cancer research with Animesh Barua, PhD, and his ovarian cancer laboratory.
