Lei Yu is associate professor of neurological sciences and statistician with Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center. His research activities focus on providing statistical advice on study design and data analysis, and developing methods and applications tailored to the projects on aging and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia.
Yu received his PhD in statistics from the University of Kentucky. He has been with Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center since 2009, and he was a visiting scientist at the Broad institute of Harvard and MIT between 2013 and 2023. He has a broad interest in cognitive aging, financial and health decision making, as well as high-throughput multi-layer omics. Yu has maintained a fruitful collaboration with investigators and clinicians both inside and outside Rush, with over 300 peer-reviewed publications in areas of neurology, neuropsychology, neuropathology and neurobiology.
