Kyle Bersted, PhD, is a Clinical Child/Pediatric Psychologist at Rush University Medical Center. Bersted’s clinical work has focused on the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of behavioral and emotional concerns in youth ranging from infancy to late adolescence. Bersted has received specialized training in both clinical and pediatric settings, the latter of which has included youth coping with illness or struggling with adherence issues. At Rush, Bersted conducts psychological assessments for youth and their families seeking diagnostic clarity in reference to ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disorders, Intellectual Disability, Anxiety and Depressive disorders, and trauma-based disorders. Bersted also treats children, teens, and their families through a variety of different treatment paradigms in therapy, including CBT, ACT, parent training, family therapy, and motivational interviewing. Bersted’s research interests have included the interplay between genes and environment when exploring factors that contribute to a child’s behavioral and emotional functioning.
