Kristin Jacobs, MD is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Her clinical interests include medical and surgical management of urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, complex obstetrical lacerations and fistulae. She has expertise in vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Her research interests focus on the female urinary microbiome and patient decision aids. Jacobs is also committed to pursuits in Global Health and participates in an annual fistula mission to Rwanda with the International Organization for Women and Development. She is conversationally-fluent in Spanish and has worked in women’s health clinics in South America. Jacobs holds national leadership positions in the Society for Gynecologic Surgeons and in the American Urogynecologic Society.
