Kenneth Yokosawa, MD was named the Rush Copley Family Medicine Residency Program Director in March 2014 and has over 23 years of experience in medical education. He served as the Family Medicine Clerkship Director for Michigan State University/College of Human Medicine, and was full-time faculty for the Michigan State University/Genesys Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. During his tenure as full time faculty, Yokosawa served for five years as Assistant Program Director and fourteen years as the Program Director.
Yokosawa is board certified in Family Medicine and has completed several fellowship training programs. In 2010-2012, as the co-principal developer for the Michigan State University CHM/GRMC and Zhejiang University Medical School/SRRSH Hospital Collaboration, Yokosawa successfully developed the first ACGME-ready Family Medicine Residency in Hangzhou, China.
Yokosawa has received numerous awards of recognition, including Excellence in Teaching for Outstanding Full-Time Faculty, Outstanding Community Faculty Award, Certificate of Excellence for Teaching, and most recently the Program Director’s Achievement Award.
