Jessica Vlaming, MS, PA-C, is the director of clinical education for the physician assistant academic program and an assistant professor in the College of Health Sciences. Her responsibilities include coordinating the clinical year curriculum and instructing in both the didactic and clinical years of the PA program. She received a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Rush. Her research interests include global health, emergency medicine and incarceration medicine. Vlaming practices regularly in the emergency department, attends annual global health trips to provide primary care to underserved communities and spends her free time volunteering with local organizations.
