  • Biography

    Jackie Eissman, PhD, is a Computational Human Geneticist at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center. Her academic background is from Vanderbilt University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive Studies and PhD in Human Genetics. The focus of her doctoral work at the Vanderbilt Memory & Alzheimer’s Center was genetic and cognitive data harmonization leveraged for large-scale analysis to identify sex-specific genetic drivers of cognitive performance in aging and Alzheimer’s disease. Eissman then spent a couple of years at The Taub Institute at Columbia University, leading work in multi-omics to identify genetic regulators and molecular signatures of aging and Alzheimer’s disease in diverse populations. At the RADC, Eissman’s research efforts will be focused on integration of multi-omics to study risk and resilience in aging, Alzheimer’s disease, and related dementias, including through a sex-specific lens.
