Irving Waxman, MD, is a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine with a conjoint appointment in Surgery who specializes in endoscopic ultrasound. His interventional gastroenterology work focuses on state-of-the-art endoscopic procedures for esophageal, gastric, endolumenal resection, endosonography guided therapy, pancreatic, lung and rectal tumors. He also has a research portfolio and publications in the same fields with device development as well as multiple clinical trials.
Waxman’s multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach to clinical care and research has led to advancements in the field of gastroenterology. Furthermore, he enjoys a collaborative relationship with referring providers and colleagues resulting in the utmost quality and attention is provided to patients.
