Gaurav Marwaha, MD is the Interim Chairperson and Associate Professor at Rush University Medical Center in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and his residency at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he served as chief resident. He specializes at Rush in the treatment of patients with lung cancer, mediastinal/chest tumors, esophageal cancer, mesothelioma, lymphoma (Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s), and metastases. His primary clinical research interests are in stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), palliative radiation oncology, and the novel incorporation of radiation with targeted/immuno-therapies. Additionally, Marwaha serves as the Program Director for the Radiation Oncology Residency Program.
Marwaha is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American Board of Radiology (ABR), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), and the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS).
In his spare time, Marwaha enjoys athletics, acoustic guitar, globetrotting, and spending time with his wife and sons.
