Edward E. Cherullo, MD, joined Rush from Case Western University and University Hospitals - Cleveland. He served there as the Urology Vice-Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Urology (2010 - 2014), Interim Department Chair (2013 - 2014) and Urology Residency Program Director (2008 - 2017).
Cherullo received his medical degree from the St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation-Glickman Urological Institute. During his residency, he completed a research fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Urologic Surgery.
Cherullo specializes in reconstructive surgery for complex urological conditions including adult survivors of congenital conditions such as spina bifida. He has published more than 70 articles and has been invited lecturer at numerous local, national and international conferences. He is the Past-President of the Ohio Urologic Society. His accolades include being named several years running as a ”Best Doctor” in America; a two-time recipient the Martin I Resnick, MD Teaching Award-University Hospitals Case Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation-Bruce Hubbard Stewart Award Recognition for compassionate and humane care of patients.
