Doreen K. Izaguirre, MA, CCC-SLP, is the manager of speech-language pathology clinical education, and she also works as a speech-language pathologist in the medical, surgical and neuro intensive care units. She previously worked for more than 20 years at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in various clinical, management and clinical educator positions. Her final position there was a clinical practice leader in speech-language pathology. She continues to lecture on dysphagia and trach/vent management. Her primary teaching responsibilities are the clinical methods courses and practicum support courses.
