Antibiotic resistance, mycobacterial infections
David C. Nguyen, MD completed medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University and his Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at RUSH University Medical Center. He then completed a dual fellowship in Infectious Diseases and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Case Western Reserve University. Nguyen has a long-standing interest in antibiotic resistance mechanisms, particularly in Gram-negative and mycobacterial infections. During his fellowship training he was also trainee on the Geographic Medicine and Infectious Diseases T32 at CWRU where his project focused on using beta-lactams against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
