Corey Goldstein, MD, is assistant professor of psychiatry and associate clinical director of the Treatment Research Center at Rush University Medical Center. Goldstein completed medical training at the Drexel University School of Medicine in Pennsylvania in 1998. He then completed one year of training in emergency medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and three years of psychiatry residency at Rush University Medical Center, also in Chicago, in 2002. Since then, Goldstein has maintained a private psychiatry practice in addition to working as a research physician at Rush University Medical Center. Goldstein’s expertise is in the diagnosis and pharmacological management of psychiatric disorders. Research interests include depressive and bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and treatment resistance. He has served as both principal investigator and subinvestigator on many clinical trials funded by the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the National Institute of Mental Health. Goldstein teaches medical students and residents. His publications cover the topics of depression, anxiety disorders and psychopharmacology. He is the 2005 recipient of the Young Researcher’s Award from the National Association for the Mentally Ill of Greater Chicago.
