Christopher Coogan, MD, is a professor of urology and residency program director at Rush University. He attended medical school and residency at Rush, followed by a fellowship in urological oncology at Indiana University. Coogan specializes in urological cancers, including prostate, kidney, bladder and testis. He performs minimally invasive surgery when appropriate including robotic and laparoscopic surgery. He also has extensive experience in treating voiding complaints/BPH and kidney stones. He has remained at Rush since 1996 and has authored or co-authored more than 65 journal articles or book chapters. He is a past president of the Chicago Urological Society, fellow of the American College of Physicians, AUA and NCS. He also is current treasurer of Illinois State Urological Society.
