Charles McKiel, MD, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago in 1952 and received his medical doctorate at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 1956. McKiel graduated from the urology surgical residency training program at Rush University Medical Center in 1961 and joined the faculty. McKiel served as chairman of the Department of Urology at Rush University from 1972 to 2013. He has served as president of the Board of Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center Health Association and president of medical staff. McKiel is a member of the Board of Governors of the American College of Surgeons. He has served as president of the Chicago Urological Society, president of the North Central Section of the American Urological Association and chair of the International Relations Committee of the American Urological Association.
