Bonnie Ewald, MA (she/her) is the Associate Director of the Center for Health and Social Care Integration (CHaSCI), an applied think-tank based at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. In this role, she leads workforce development trainings, technical assistance offerings, and policy advocacy initiatives to advance practices and policies that break down barriers to health. As Program Manager of Strategic Development and Policy for Rush’s Social Work and Community Health department, Ewald also assists with grant development and strategy, co-leads Rush’s Community Health Worker hub, and leads a team of AmeriCorps members integrating social care at Rush. She serves as assistant professor in Rush’s Social Work department and instructor in the Health Systems Management department. She also serves on the Healthcare and Aging Network Leadership Council and the Chicagoland Regional Planning Council for the American Society on Aging. Ewald has her master’s in public policy studies from the University of Chicago, a post-graduate certificate in Sustainable Urban Design from Archeworks, and a bachelor’s in mathematics and geography from the University of Wisconsin.
