Augustine M. Manadan, M.D., is Professor of Medicine at Rush University Medical Center and current chairman of rheumatology at Cook County Hospital. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Akron and an M.D. from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. He trained in both internal medicine and rheumatology at the Rush University Medical Center. He is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology. He has served in many leadership, administrative, clinical, research, and educational roles during his career. Manadan is currently the rheumatology fellowship director, rheumatology medical student elective course director, and rheumatology CME course director. He regularly presents at grand rounds and resident conferences. His abstracts have been presented at numerous scientific conferences. He is actively mentoring house staff in their research projects.
Manadan’s research work has been published in numerous peer reviewed journals including the Journal of Rheumatology, Journal of Clinical Rheumatology, American Journal of Therapeutics, Clinical Experimental Rheumatology, NEJM, Seminars Arthritis Rheumatism, The Open Rheumatology Journal, Current Opinion in Rheumatology, Journal of Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery and Clinical Infectious Disease. His current work is focused on analysis of large national databases.
