Alecia Hurley is an instructor in the Community, Systems, and Mental Health Nursing Department. She is a board-certified PMHNP, practicing at an outpatient psychiatric clinic treating adolescents and adults with mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, OCD, and schizophrenia spectrum disorders. As a registered nurse, Alecia worked in both child/adolescent and adult inpatient psychiatric units, as well as in the operating room. Alecia received her BSN in Biological Sciences from DePaul University, and both her MSN and DNP from RUSH University. Alecia finds great benefit in practicing while teaching.
