Ailda Nika, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Rush Medical College. Nika is a graduate of the University of Tirana, Albania and has completed residencies in Albania and at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, IL. She completed her Rheumatology fellowship at University of Illinois - Chicago. She has been an attending rheumatologist at Rush University since 2014 and is a full time clinician seeing patients with a wide variety of rheumatologic conditions. Nika has a special interest in Autoimmune Conditions, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in particular. She is part of Lupus Clinic and has participated in many Patient Reported Outcome projects and Clinical Trials, didactic lectures, and educational programs in the community.
Nika is an active member of Lupus Society of Illinois, organizing the yearly Rush Lupus Community Awareness Event with participations of LSI, lupus patients and families from the whole Midwest region. She has authored several publications with trainees.
