The Section of Cardiology, the Rush Heart and Vascular Institute and the Center for Congenital and Structural Heart Disease at Rush University Medical Center are deeply committed to the three pillars of academic medicine: delivering the finest care to our patients with cardiovascular disease; educating the very best academic physicians who will become leaders in their field; and furthering medical knowledge through the pursuit of innovative research in cardiovascular disease. There are six fellowship positions offered each year.

About The Program

Fellowship training in cardiovascular disease at Rush University Medical Center is a rigorous three-year program designed to provide a well-balanced experience in all aspects of cardiology. Approximately 24 months are dedicated to clinical rotations in virtually every discipline in cardiology including:

How To Apply

Potential applicants to Rush University Medical Center's cardiovascular disease fellowship program should note that eligibility requires a minimum of three years of medical training in the United States, of which at least two should be a residency in internal medicine. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine at the time of starting fellowship in cardiology.
