Career Services

The Office of Student Life & Engagement serves as a primary resource for Rush students seeking career services and offers support with the following:

Services

Curriculum Vitae, Resumes, and Cover Letters Reviews

If you want someone to review your curriculum vitae, resume or cover letter, we invite you to set up a meeting through our Microsoft Bookings page. These meetings are held over Microsoft Teams, but can be in person upon request. If you do not see a time that works for you, please reach out to our office to set up additional appointment times.

Mock Interviews

One of the biggest steps in the job search process is the job interview. The best way to prepare for the interview is with practice. With this in mind, we offer mock interviews for students. Please contact the Office of Student Life and Engagement to schedule a mock interview.

Walk-in Hours

Looking for on-demand assistance with resumes, curriculum Vitae, cover letters, interview strategies or other career guidance? We welcome you to attend SLE’s Career Services walk-in hours. Walk-in hours are held every Thursday in AAC 992, RUSH Student Lounge, from 2 to 4 p.m. on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Career Services Lunch and Learns

Throughout the year, the Office of Student Life and Engagement hosts a variety of Lunch and Learns that focus on building different skills in your career including resume and CV writing, networking, and navigating the application process. Keep an eye on the RUSHU Weekly and posters around campus to learn more about when these events will take place.

Group Presentations

The Office of Student Life and Engagement is available to host group presentations for departments and organizations at RUSH both in-person and remote relating to career services. If you would like to schedule a group presentation, please reach out to our office.
