Professional Development Courses for Faculty

Wednesday, August 5 through Saturday, August 8At Rush University, we are committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for our students, whether in the classroom or at the bedside. As an institution, Rush has heavily invested in facilities that reflect the most up-to-date research on adult learning theory, including award-winning active learning spaces.

We invite all Rush faculty members to participate in the 2020 Teaching Excellence Virtual Bootcamp presented by the Office of Academic Affairs and Mentoring Programs.

In this current era of online teaching and learning, we know faculty want to improve their courses more than ever therefore we are offering this series free of charge.

Faculty will take their skills to a new level in this professional development bootcamp through virtual training. This CE-eligible bootcamp covers crucial subjects such as:

  • how the brain learns new knowledge and how learning theories have evolved
  • strategies for creating effective objectives
  • best practices for course organization
  • giving valuable feedback to students
  • designing group activities



Registration includes CE credit hours, Certificate of Completion, and electronic teaching reference book.

The registration fee will be covered by Rush University Faculty Affairs Office.
