Meet our faculty and staff.

Forensic Psychiatry sits at the crossroads of mental health and the law. The number of specific psychiatric-legal issues is expansive. At this interface, civil (tort) and criminal issues may arise, demanding psychiatric expertise assessment and opinion. In additional to consultation, forensic experts play integral roles in educating and liaising with numerous other professional disciplines and laypersons. This sub-specialty is recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, which offers board certification. Rush University Department of Psychiatry provides medical-legal services through its Division of Forensic Psychiatry.
