Gina Lowell, MD,  Kyran Quinlan, MD- “Making microwaves safe for kids.”
For a number of years, Drs. Lowell and Quinlan have been actively working with Underwriters Laboratories to help develop a new safety standard that all microwaves will be required to meet to be sold in the U.S. The new standard will protect young children by making it much less likely that they can open the microwave door.
