IMSA is a student affinity group composed of underrepresented students from Rush Medical College, Rush College of Nursing, Rush College of Health Sciences, and the Graduate College. IMSA members will work in a collaborative effort to engage the surrounding community to increase overall minority enrollment at Rush University and provide a supportive network for minority students at Rush University:
Encouraging the development of meaningful, collaborative relationships amongst minority students in each of the four professional colleges at Rush University
Organizing recruitment programs on and off campus for the surrounding underrepresented grade school, high school, and college students
Planning events that promote increasing diversity of all four colleges at Rush University including but not limited to mentoring programs, student panels, and “student visiting days” from surrounding schools
Providing a supportive framework for currently attending and incoming minority students in each of the four professional colleges at Rush University
