Interprofessional Medicial Student Association (IMSA)*

Mission

IMSA is a student affinity group composed of underrepresented students from Rush Medical College, Rush College of Nursing, Rush College of Health Sciences, and the Graduate College. IMSA members will work in a collaborative effort to engage the surrounding community to increase overall minority enrollment at Rush University and provide a supportive network for minority students at Rush University:

  • Encouraging the development of meaningful, collaborative relationships amongst minority students in each of the four professional colleges at Rush University

  • Organizing recruitment programs on and off campus for the surrounding underrepresented grade school, high school, and college students

  • Planning events that promote increasing diversity of all four colleges at Rush University including but not limited to mentoring programs, student panels, and “student visiting days” from surrounding schools

  • Providing a supportive framework for currently attending and incoming minority students in each of the four professional colleges at Rush University
