Mission
The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) is an organization which functions at the local, national, and international level. Our mission is to advance women in medicine and improve women’s health. We achieve this by providing and developing leadership, advocacy, education, expertise, mentoring, and strategic alliances. At RUSH, we aide in supporting current female members and their future careers in medicine. We host events like the Vagina Monologues and lunch-and-learns about different fields of medicine. Additionally, there have been opportunities to present at national conferences and participate in self-defense and de-escalation training.
