Rush University Compliance Office
The Rush University Compliance Office works with faculty, students and staff throughout Rush University to address compliance concerns, mitigate risk, facilitate collaboration, raise awareness, and provide guidance. The office upholds the seven elements of an effective compliance program and aligns with Rush University System for Health’s (RUSH) mission. The creation of the office demonstrates RUSH’s commitment in meeting legal and regulatory responsibilities, and fosters a culture that promotes ethical conduct throughout the university. The University Compliance Office is part of the RUSH Corporate Compliance department.
Within the University Compliance Office website, you can find more information on reporting concerns, Title IX (discrimination based on sex in educational programs), campus safety and the Clery Act, Conflict of Interest, and Research Compliance. The Office has an open door policy to encourage open communication, feedback, and discussion about any concerns faculty, students or staff may have.
This guide, created by the Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation (CTEI), was developed partially in response to concerns raised by students in Remote Learning Satisfaction surveys, distributed shortly after the transition from in-class courses. The guide contains information for how to use two of the most commonly used programs at Rush University: Blackboard and Zoom, among others. It also has information about accessing Rush University Library services online.
