Services for investigators
The Office of Research Affairs supports investigators in the following ways:
- Budget development and negotiation of clinical trial agreements with sponsors
- Study initiation, patient recruitment and follow-up
- Study coordinator support through one-on-one training and mentorship for research coordinators
The Office of Mentoring Programs enables the success of early career faculty through the following:
- Providing resources and training in critical areas such as grant writing coaching, statistical analysis, and manuscript editing
- Facilitating clinical and laboratory monthly track meetings to provide feedback on extramural submissions
- Providing competitive fellowships to program members and enhance their extramural funding success
Services for sponsors
The Office of Research Affairs is committed to fostering industry-sponsored research. Services available for research sponsors include the following:
- Identification of clinical investigators at Rush who have the expertise and interest to pursue a trial devoted to a particular disease, intervention or assessment
- Assistance in meeting the required deadlines necessary for Rush’s institutional review boards to review protocols involving human subjects
- Clinical trial agreement negotiation and facilitiation to expedite processing
