The Social Neuroscience and Psychopathology Lab (SNaP Lab) is directed by Dr. Christine I. Hooker, PhD in the Department of Psychiatry at Rush University Medical Center. The SNaP lab investigates neural, behavioral, and functional changes associated with social cognition and psychopathology. Specifically, we look at whether adolescents and adults who have, or may be "at-risk" for debilitating mental disorders, can benefit from using internet-based interventions that target the neural networks associated with social cognitive skills, such as theory of mind and emotion processing. We use a variety of techniques, including clinical interviewing, self-report, neuropsychological testing, and neuroimaging to assess the efficacy of our training program.
