The center will offer workshops and seminars at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and at the annual Research Society on Alcoholism (RSA) meetings. The purpose of these workshops and seminars is to train and inform alcohol researchers to conduct circadian research and analyses. Another important purpose of these gatherings is to provide an environment to share research findings as well as foster and promote opportunities for networking and establishment of collaborations.

Workshops may include the following:

  • Introduction to circadian biology
  • Methodological considerations (model selection, circadian manipulation)
  • Analysis approaches

Seminar topics may include the following:

  • Interaction of the circadian system with key biological systems
  • Circadian rhythms and brain function
  • Circadian rhythms and alcohol interactions
  • Data presentations
