PhD Nursing Scholarship Terms

  • All tuition costs will be covered on a per term basis for the first nine terms of the program. The student is responsible for all tuition costs in subsequent terms.
  • The student must maintain good academic standing (minimum 3.0 GPA, may not receive failing or no-pass grades). The award will be forfeited for those terms the student is below the minimum GPA or has received an “F” or “N” grade.
  • The student is expected to register for the courses that are outlined in the approved plan of study. Failure to adhere to the approved plan of study may result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
  • If the student is dismissed from Rush University the remainder of the award will be forfeited.
  • Leave of Absence (LOA) - students who are granted a LOA will not receive any award while on leave and must return by the indicated time, otherwise the remainder of award will be forfeited. 
  • If there is a change in degree option from the PhD then the remainder of the award will be forfeited. The student may also be subject to full repayment of any scholarship funds received.
  • Once enrolled, the student must notify the Office of Financial Aid if there is any change in enrollment status,  i.e. LOA, switching to a different academic program, etc.
  • Any adjustment or modification in the student’s academic status will result in a review of continued  eligibility for this scholarship.
  • The student is expected to follow all policies related to academic honesty and student conduct as outlined in the RUSH University Catalog. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
