Abstract

This proposal seeks funding to extend and build on the prior work of SCCM in disseminating patient centered outcome research to provide resources and guidance for critical care clinicians to implement patient centered outcomes research findings in clinical practice.

Objectives: The objectives of the initiative are to:

  1. Develop an “e” learning collaborative for disseminating and implementing patient centered outcomes research for critical care clinicians
  2. Engage patients and caregivers to participate in  patient centered outcomes research based initiatives to improve care for acute and critically ill patients and their families
  3. Implement a learning network for critical care clinicians, patients, and families to share strategies for implementing patient centered outcomes research to improve care in the ICU
