Master of Science in Integrated Biomedical Sciences Admissions & Deadlines

The Graduate College encourages diversity among our student population and seeks to admit persons from various backgrounds. Competitive applicants may be asked to interview.

All applicants to the Integrated Biomedical Sciences Master’s program must have earned at least the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree. We strongly encourage students with a GPA above 3.0 and a basic science major to apply.

We evaluate all applicants on the following:

  • Completed online application.
  • Statement of purpose describing your current research interests as they pertain to your desire to complete the MS program at Rush University. Please include specific details about your past research experience.
  • Resume/curriculum vitae.
  • Official transcripts from every higher education school attended. Official transcripts must be sealed and either mailed or emailed directly to the Graduate College by each school.
  • Three letters of recommendation from professional or academic sources. Recommenders must upload letters via online application.
  • Official GRE scores from within the past five years. Send scores to Rush using school code 1676. We recommend that you score above the 50th percentile in both verbal and quantitative.

International students (those with a degree outside of the U.S.) must also submit the following:

  • Official Test of English as a Foreign Language, or TOEFL, scores. Send scores to Rush using school code 1676. We will waive the TOEFL requirement if you completed your degree in a country where the official language is English. We do not accept International English Language Testing System scores.
  • Course by course offical transcripts evaluation from an Educational Credential Evaluator (ECE). Send international transcripts to ECE for evaluation. They can then email the formal evaluation directly to the Graduate College. We do not accept evaluations from World Education Services.

First submit your online application, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation and CV along with your application fee. You can then email supplemental documents or mail them to the following address:
