Susan B. Glick, MD, MHPE is a general internist who is passionate about patient-centered care, as well as teaching medical students, residents and practicing physicians. She provides care across the clinical spectrum, from wellness to complex, undifferentiated medical illness, and coordinates care across the full range of medical and surgical specialties.
A Master of Health Professions Education candidate and active educator, Dr. Glick focuses on teaching medical students about how doctors think. She is known for her rigorous, practical, hands-on approach to medical education that integrates both the old-fashioned art and modern science of clinical medicine.
Dr. Glick brings to the table more than 20 years’ experience as a clinician educator. For her clinical care, she has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor from 2012-17. For her work as an educator, she has been inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, received the Arnold P Gold Foundation’s Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, and the Medical Resident Teaching Award, among others.
As an investigator, Dr. Glick explores strategies to prepare physicians and future physicians for clinical practice, especially in low resource environments. Her current work also emphasizes caring for caregivers to promote wellness.
