Ruth Rosenblum, DNP, MS, RN, PNP-BC, CNS, has been an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse for more than 30 years. She is Associate Professor at The Valley Foundation School of Nursing at San Jose State University and at Rush University. Through May 2021, she coordinated the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at SJSU, a product of the prior SJSU/Fresno State DNP Consortium, the first of its type on the CSU system. Additionally, she maintained a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner practice in Child Neurology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) in San Jose, where she managed children with seizures, headaches, tics, concussions, and other neurologic disorders. She was the medical provider for the High-Risk Infant Follow-up Program at SCVMC, a program which tracks premature infant’s development for their first three years of life. She has an interest in pediatric headache management via the use of mobile healthcare technology; she also is interested in innovation and evidence-based practice in nursing and health care. She is immediate past director of clinical practice for the Association of Child Neurology Nurses (national) and was an officer in the American Nurses Association\California, 2017-2021 (statewide). Additionally, she was on the Advanced Practice Advisory Board for the California Board of Registered Nursing.
