Kayla Martinez, MS, PA-C, received a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology and psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Marietta College. She practiced clinically for three years in hospital medicine prior to joining the Rush PA program as an instructor. Her responsibilities fall mainly within clinical education and include assisting in management of clinical rotations, coordinating clinical curriculum and mentoring of second- and third-year PA students. She continues to work clinically in hospital medicine and is an advocate for accessible health care in her free time.
