Dr. Jason Earle has been in the psychiatric field for over fifteen years. He spent ten of those years as a psychiatric nurse and six as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. He started out working as a psychiatric technician on the child and adolescent unit of a private psychiatric hospital in the Chicago area. He went on to get his nursing degree from Case Western University and subsequently worked as a psychiatric RN in a variety of inpatient and partial hospitalization programs for children and adolescents at UCLA. He received his MS in psychiatric nursing from the University of California San Francisco.
The bulk of his experience as a psychiatric NP has been working with children and adolescents in community mental health settings. Along the way, he developed a passion for helping kids with autism spectrum disorder.
Jason Earle also had a previous career in education. He was the teacher/manager of a vocational training program for developmentally disabled adolescents. He went on to get a masters and doctorate in education and subsequently worked as a tenured education professor at John Carroll University in Cleveland.
