Accreditation Statements and Policies

Course directors for any accredited activity must ensure that the appropriate accreditation statement(s) is (are) included in all promotional materials, advertising and announcements for an activity. If an activity is accredited for more than one licensed discipline, then all appropriate announcements must be listed separately.

Privacy policy

The Office of Interprofessional Continuing Education follows RUSH University Medical Center's Web privacy policy. Respect for the privacy of others is an important component of our institution's policy and guidelines.

RUSH collects only the information necessary to provide registrants with the services they request. When visitors register for activities, we ask for information about their identity to maintain a record of their participation. Registrants may be contacted if there is a problem with the registration (for instance, if there is a duplicate registration for the same activity, or if there is a question about information submitted). Participants may be asked to submit a knowledge test following completion of an online course; this is so that we may provide evaluation and feedback concerning the participant's understanding of the content. In addition, participants have the opportunity to evaluate activities to help us improve these and future ones using an online form on our site. Completing the form is voluntary, and participants have the option to submit forms without personally identifiable information.

Commercial Support: RUSH University is responsible for all financial decisions related to any qualified continuing education activity through the office of IPCE. The IPCE office must review and approve all decisions in concert with course leadership regarding the disposition and disbursement of commercial support in accordance with Joint Accreditation criteria.

Commercial Interest organizations providing financial or in-kind support for continuing education may not participate in any component of the planning process of an educational activity, including:

  • Assessment of learning needs
  • Determination of objectives
  • Selection or development of content
  • Selection of planners, presenters, authors and/or content reviewers
  • Selection of teaching/learning strategies
  • Evaluation methods

We do not share information about participants with anyone outside RUSH without the participant's explicit consent unless we have a good faith belief that we are required by law to disclose such information. We offer a number of online courses through third-party providers; RUSH is not responsible for their privacy policies. It is the participant's responsibility to learn the privacy and data collection policies of these third-party providers.
