Instructor: Dr. Michelle Sergel
The Emergency Medicine Bootcamp course teaches practitioners in emergency medicine critical skills for the emergency-care environment. The two and a half day course demonstrates and allows clinicians to practice procedures that are most commonly performed in the emergency department. Participants are then able to demonstrate the implementation of these skills into simulated cases using high-fidelity simulation.
To gain confidence in principles of adult and pediatric resuscitation and common emergency patient presentations while applying life-saving and common procedures seen in emergency medicine:
Participants work hands-on with the most current simulation technologies for two and a half days, rotating in small groups through numerous modules that are organized into four topics: Airway, Cardiovascular, Pediatric and Obstetric.
The faculty-to-participant ratio ensures participants get the personalized instruction and practice time they need to feel confident performing the rare critical care skills.
