Commencement Information for Faculty

Faculty Commencement Participation

Faculty interested in participating will be emailed at a later date and asked to complete the Faculty Participation Form.  The form permits faculty to order regalia and to confirm their participation. Faculty members participating in commencement may wear their own regalia or order rental regalia at no cost. Faculty members who complete the form after the deadline may not receive regalia specific to their degree as it may not arrive in time for the commencement ceremony. Faculty orders received after the deadline may be accommodated with generic regalia. Please be reminded that rented regalia must be returned immediately following the ceremony at the Credit Union 1 Arena.

Regalia Distribution Dates 

Regalia distribution will be held in AAC 994AB on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, April 10, 2024: noon - 4 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 11, 2024: 2 - 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 16, 2024: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Custom Regalia Orders

Students, faculty or alumni members who would like to purchase custom regalia to own may do so through the University’s vendor, Herff Jones. To place your custom regalia order, contact our representative, Mo Olson via email at Molson@herffjones.com directly and copy RU_Commencement@rush.edu.

The deadline for custom orders is February 2, 2024. The deadline must be met in order to have regalia made, shipped, and received in time for the ceremony. Custom orders will be shipped directly to the purchaser’s home.
