Rush College of Nursing has had a long-term commitment to the advanced preparation of nurses who focus on clinically based research that targets the care of older adults. In 1997, the Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Nurses Alumni Association established the Nurses Alumni Association Chair in Health and the Aging Process. Through efforts of committed faculty members and with support from multidisciplinary colleagues, the Rush Nursing Center for Aging and Health is proud to highlight NIH and foundation funded research that has focused on family caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease, hospitalized persons with delirium, cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment in older adults.
