Welcome to the Rush University Career Development web page, coordinated
by The Office of Student Affairs. The resources and information contained
in this site, in conjunction with the Office of Student Affairs professional
staff, will begin to help students address a variety of career development
needs. The Office of Student Affairs serves as a primary resource for Rush
students seeking career services and information. Individual career
counseling appointments and career development workshops are available
to all students and academic programs. A variety of workbooks and
handouts help guide students through resume and cover letter development,
residency applications, interviewing, job searching, and Internet
resources. The office also co-sponsors and publicizes programs and
informational fairs that acquaint students with a variety of educational,
residency, and job opportunities. In addition, students have the option
of creating a Credential File in which resumes, cover letters, faculty
recommendations, and other biographical data are kept on file in the
office and sent out at the students' request. Each student is assigned an academic advisor who is a member of the
faculty. The advisor is knowledgeable about the student's educational
program and provides assistance in curriculum selection, academic
progression, and professional and career development. In addition,
some academic programs have specific faculty members and seminars
in place to assist students with career development and postgraduate
training issues. The Office of Student Affairs is here to help students with all their career needs. Please browse this site and contact the office for more information or additional resources. |
