CurriculumA significant portion of the resident experience takes place at Rush University Medical Center. There are also rotations at Mercy Medical Center in Chicago, Metro South Medical Center in Blue Island, St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Stroger Hospital and West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park. Chief Administrative ResidentThe chief administrative residents, selected each year by the residents and attendings of the department, share administrative service, and educational responsibilities with the service chiefs and faculty. In this position, the chief administrative residents work closely with the program director and coordinator to plan departmental conferences, ensure proper staffing, supervise and teach medical students and junior residents, assign experiences and participate in progress evaluations.
